Cookies Policy

A note on the title
This page is called "Cookies Policy" because that's what people search for, but the rules under EU ePrivacy law (Art. 122 of the Italian Codice Privacy, implementing Directive 2002/58/EC) cover any storage of, or access to, information on your device — cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, and similar. So this page covers all of it.
For the wider data-handling picture, see our Privacy policy.
What this site sets, today
This site is deliberately minimal. Right now:
- First-party cookies set: zero. Whether you accept or decline the consent banner, this site sets no cookies of its own.
- One localStorage entry, used only to remember your consent choice so we don't ask on every page.
Strictly necessary
| What | Where | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
58th-cookie-consent | Browser localStorage | Stores your choice from the consent banner: accepted or declined | Persists until you clear browser storage |
We use localStorage rather than a cookie because using a cookie to remember "no cookies" felt like missing the point. The mechanism is different; the legal regime is the same — and as a strictly necessary preference, it does not require consent under Art. 122.
Analytics, advertising, social
None. We don't run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising tags, or social plug-ins that load before you click them.
The consent banner currently has nothing meaningful to gate — but the mechanism is in place so that if we ever do introduce non-essential tracking, we can ask first.
Third parties contacted by your browser
When you load this site, your browser makes requests to the following third parties as part of rendering the page. None of these set cookies on your device today, but they do involve a technical data flow you should know about.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Serves the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and images that make up the site. Vercel sees standard request metadata (IP, User-Agent, URL, timestamp) for routing, caching, and abuse protection.
- Google Fonts — we load the Playfair Display and Inter typefaces from Google's CDN (
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com). Google Fonts does not set cookies, but Google receives your IP address as a technical side effect of serving the font files. We are evaluating self-hosting the fonts to remove this dependency.
External links
The site links out to LinkedIn and to WhatsApp (chat link). Following those links takes you to third-party services with their own cookies and privacy policies, which we don't control. We don't load their tracking code on our own pages.
If we add analytics in future
We do not currently use any web analytics. If we add analytics in future, we plan to use a privacy-friendly, cookieless service (likely Plausible) and we will update this page before turning it on.
Managing cookies and storage
You can:
- Use the consent banner on this site to accept or decline non-essential storage. (Currently there's nothing non-essential to gate, but your choice is recorded for future use.)
- Clear localStorage and cookies in your browser, per site or globally:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari — Settings → Privacy
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Clearing the 58th-cookie-consent localStorage entry will cause the banner to reappear on your next visit.
Changes
If we add new cookies, new tracking, or new third-party calls, we'll update the lists above and refresh the "Last updated" date. Where consent is required, we'll ask before setting anything new.
